Group video and audio calls with screen sharing, recording, in-call chat, and guest invite links. Powered by LiveKit for low-latency communication. Features include: video grid layout, mic/camera toggling, screen sharing, call recording (start/stop), in-call chat panel, guest links for external participants, duration timer, and incoming call overlay notifications. Starting a new call checks the organization's usage budget and an admin-configurable limit on how many calls can be active at once; if either is reached, starting a new call is blocked with an explanation of what paused, while any call already in progress is never interrupted. Joining an existing call and refreshing your token during a call are unaffected by the budget check. Host controls during a call: the host can mute a participant's microphone (ambient, so that person can switch it back on), fully silence someone (only the host can lift it, and it survives a page refresh or a rejoin), mute or silence everyone at once, remove a participant from the meeting, and lower a raised hand. Any participant, guests included, can raise their own hand to ask to speak. When a meeting is full, extra guests wait in a lobby and the host admits or declines each one. A full silence is enforced by the media server on server-mode meetings, not only by the app, so a silenced participant cannot publish audio at all until the host lifts it. Recording is a choice made when the meeting starts: nothing, audio with a transcript, or video. An organization can switch recording off for everyone, and can set which of those a new meeting opens on. Where a meeting can be recorded, a guest has to agree to a consent notice before joining, and is asked again if that notice changes. Before joining there is a device preview for choosing and checking your camera and microphone, and a card that says how the meeting is connected and what that means for it. While recording runs a REC indicator is shown on every surface, the guest page included. Removing someone from a meeting also takes away their ability to rejoin it and to open its recording. After a recorded meeting the transcript is available with each part attributed to the person who said it, and an AI summary of the meeting can be produced from it; the summary is off until an organization turns it on, and only people who were in the meeting can open it. A host can create a link for playing a recording back and can revoke that link later. A scheduled meeting is opened through a door that carries the same device preview and says plainly that opening the meeting starts spending. Someone who joins past the point where the free direct path can carry the meeting waits until a host admits them, and admitting is the moment the spending starts; the meeting is upgraded in place at that point, without anyone having to rejoin.

How to use

  1. Start a group call from the sidebar or from within a Spun Chat conversation.
  2. Invite participants or share the guest link.
  3. Use the toolbar to toggle mic, camera, screen share, and recording.
  4. Open the chat panel to send messages during the call.
  5. Open the People panel to see who is in the call; as the host you can mute, fully silence, lower a hand, or remove anyone from there, and admit or decline guests waiting in the lobby.
  6. Raise your own hand from the People panel to ask to speak, and lower it again when you are done.
  7. Click "End Call" when finished. If starting a call is blocked, it means the organization's usage budget or its simultaneous-call limit has been reached - an admin can resolve this from billing/usage settings; calls already underway are not affected.
  8. When you start a meeting, choose whether it records nothing, audio with a transcript, or video; where recording is possible, guests agree to the recording notice before they can join.
  9. Check and choose your camera and microphone in the preview before you go in.
  10. After a recorded meeting, open its transcript, and its AI summary where your organization has turned that on.
  11. To let someone who was not in the meeting watch it, create a playback link for the recording, and revoke it when it is no longer needed.
