Asking questions
Just type naturally. Examples:
- "How do I create a campaign?"
- "What's the difference between auto-replies and chat flows?"
- "Can I translate voice messages?"
- "What plan includes the knowledge base?"
Weave uses the Feature Knowledge Base (59 features documented) + your uploaded Knowledge Base docs to give accurate, Spun-specific answers.
Searching your inbox
Weave can search your actual WhatsApp messages:
- "Find messages from David about 'project deadline'"
- "What did Sarah say last Tuesday?"
- "Show me unread messages from VIP contacts"
- "Who mentioned 'payment' this week?"
How it works
Performing actions
Weave can take actions on your behalf:
| Command | What happens |
|---|---|
| "Label Sarah as VIP" | Applies the VIP label to Sarah's chat |
| "Draft a message to John" | Opens composer with AI-drafted text |
| "Summarize this conversation" | Generates a summary of the current chat |
| "Translate to Hebrew" | Translates selected/recent message |
| "Create a task: Follow up with Sarah" | Creates a task linked to the conversation |
| "Set an alarm for this chat in 3 days" | Sets a reminder |
Context awareness
When you have a chat open, Weave knows the context:
- Current conversation partner
- Recent messages
- Labels on the chat
- Your previous Weave interactions in this session
This means you can ask "catch me up" without specifying who — Weave uses the active chat.
Tips for better results
- Be specific — "How do I auto-translate Hebrew in one chat" > "translate"
- Use natural language — Weave understands conversational English, Hebrew, and more
- Follow up — ask clarifying questions in the same session
- Retry — click the retry button to use a more powerful AI model if the first answer isn't good
Token usage
Weave uses your monthly AI token allowance:
- Simple questions: ~200-500 tokens
- Inbox search: ~500-1000 tokens
- Message drafting: ~300-800 tokens
- Summarization: ~500-2000 tokens (depends on conversation length)
Auto-reply mode (Weave Sessions)
Weave can also act as an auto-responder in specific chats:
- Configure in Auto-Replies → add a "Weave AI" response type
- When triggered, Weave handles the conversation using your Knowledge Base
- Sessions expire after inactivity (configurable)
- Escalates to human when confidence is low
