Look up a public professional profile (job title, company, industry, LinkedIn, work history) for one saved contact, from the Contact Intelligence section in the contact drawer. It is off unless an admin has turned it on for the workspace, and it never runs on its own - a person has to press the button for that one contact. It only works when the contact has a usable full name in Latin letters and a US phone number; anything else shows the reason instead of the button. The search shows a preview of who was found and asks whether that is the right person, and tokens are only charged when you press Unlock. If no confident match is found, if the match adds nothing you did not already have, or if you say it is the wrong person, nothing is charged. A profile someone in your workspace already unlocked opens again for free. If an earlier search for that contact came back empty (no profile found, no confident match, or nothing beyond what you already had), the section says which of those happened and shows the date it was last checked, so you do not spend time or tokens repeating a search that already failed. You can still run it again: the button is labelled as a new paid search at the normal unlock price. On a phone you can also import details straight from your own phone contacts, which is free and never charges tokens. You pick one contact from the phone picker, Spun checks that one of its numbers matches the chat, and then shows a field-by-field preview so you choose exactly what to save. Nothing is merged automatically. If the stored name cannot be searched (for example it is written in Hebrew), an imported Latin name is saved as a separate search name so the profile lookup can work, and the name you see in Spun stays exactly as it was unless you choose to replace it. How much arrives depends on the phone: iPhone returns the name, numbers, emails, company, department and job title, while Android returns the name and the one number you tapped, because Spun never asks for permission to read your address book.
How to use
- Open a contact (context panel or the contacts list drawer).
- Find the Contact Intelligence section. If it says the contact needs a full name or a phone number, fix that first.
- Press "Find professional profile" - you are not charged yet.
- Read the preview: name, title, company, location.
- Press "Unlock and add profile" to pay the token price and see the full profile, or "Wrong person" to cancel at no cost.
- "Refresh" runs a new paid search later. If a previous search found nothing, the section shows that outcome with the date it was last checked and offers the same new-paid-search button.
- Admins can press "Delete this data" under "Where this came from" to erase everything the provider returned for that contact.
- On a phone only: press "Import from phone contacts - Free", pick a contact, and if its numbers do not match the chat you get a retry.
- Tick the details you want to keep and press "Save selected details".
- If that made the contact searchable, Spun then OFFERS the paid profile search and shows exactly what it would send and the price; it never runs it for you.
