Spun has no "assign to" button or owner field on a WhatsApp chat. Chats are routed to team members with labels and sharing: give the chat a label with the teammate's name (every invited member gets a personal label with their name when they accept the invitation), then share the inbox with that person limited to that label (Spun Tools → Inbox → Team → Share Access), so they see only the chats carrying their label. The Rotation extension (round robin) applies the teammate labels automatically, in turn, to new chats. A connected AI app can set an owner on a conversation through its assign_conversation tool, but that owner is not shown or editable in the inbox. For a piece of work rather than a whole chat, create a task from the conversation and set its responsible member.
How to use
- Right-click the chat (long-press on a phone) and apply the label named after the team member, or create a label with their name.
- In Spun Tools → Inbox → Team, share the inbox with that person limited to their label (role Team Member or Manager).
- To hand out new chats automatically, install Rotation and add the members to the rotation.
- To assign a piece of work instead of the chat, create a task from the conversation (or use Suggest Tasks) and pick the responsible member.
