A guard on the composer that reads a message before it is sent and warns when the wording may be hurtful or may fall into lashon hara or rechilut, with guidance drawn from halachic sources. Analysis runs in two stages: a light check as you type, and a fuller one only when a message actually looks like it needs it, so ordinary messages are never delayed. When something is flagged, a banner explains the concern in plain language, a short countdown gives you a moment to reconsider, and you are offered rewritten wording you can accept in place of what you typed. Where a message may still be justified, you can record the constructive purpose behind it, for example reporting a real problem, warning someone of harm, or a shidduch inquiry. Kind and warm messages are recognized too, with occasional encouragement rather than only warnings. Message text can be redacted for privacy before analysis, toggled from the feature's own settings, and your own statistics are available. Available as the Yetzer Hatov extension from the marketplace.
How to use
- Install the Yetzer Hatov extension from Extensions.
- Write a message as usual; the check runs on its own.
- If a banner appears, read the concern and the source behind it.
- Accept one of the suggested rewrites, edit the message yourself, or wait out the countdown and send anyway.
- When the message has a genuine constructive purpose, record it when prompted.
- Use the gear icon in the composer to turn privacy redaction on or off.
